Hey girl! Love the tag! And..here we go. Eight of my most favorite memories...
1. Sitting on my daddy's lap when I was little and him hugging me. (He died when I was 9.)
2. The smell of English Leather - daddy's cologne.
3. When my nephew came HOME from Iraq after 2 years and the first time I saw him after that.
4. Meeting one of my (still) best friends in fifth grade on the playground! She's now a cop, too (like my nephew). I am so proud of her.
5. When the University of Alabama BEAT, whupped, manhandled Miami in 1992 to win the National Championship in college football. All week Miami had been talking about they were superior to us and the SEC and hmmm..guess we showed them.
6. The day my son was born.
7. The 3rd day of kindergarten for my son. They had said the parents could walk them in for 2 days and on the 3rd day, the kids were supposed to go in by themselves. Well, some parents were STILL walking their kids in (days later) but on the 3rd day, we pull up and before I can say anything, S says, "Okay, momma. I go in by myself today. Bye." and off he tottled. I was so proud!
8. My mom always bought me a box of chocolate covered cherries for Christmas from "Santa", every Christmas until she died. My mother wasn't sweet and gentle like my daddy, she was a tough ole bird so for her to do that really meant alot.
And I'm gonna tag Susan and you, Hope! And Rebecca! I'm off to tell Susan and Rebecca!
